Usually Ready in Under an Hour

Most pharmacies prepare your prescription within 30 to 60 minutes of receiving it. Walk in, pick it up, get on with your day.

IMC-Reviewed Every Time

Every refill is reviewed by an Irish Medical Council registered doctor who checks your history before signing. Not a rubber stamp.

Any Pharmacy, Anywhere in Ireland

Dublin, Cork, Galway, Limerick, rural. Choose your pharmacy at booking. Travelling? Switch pharmacy for your next refill, no fuss.

What We Can Refill Online

Routine medications where you are stable on the current dose. Six common categories patients book for.

Chronic Conditions

Blood pressure medication, cholesterol tablets, diabetes medication, thyroid medication, and asthma inhalers. Long-term treatments where your dose and condition are stable.

Pain Management

Non-controlled pain medications, anti-inflammatories, and chronic pain medications for long-term pain conditions. Strong controlled painkillers need in-person review.

Mental Health Medication

Antidepressants and non-controlled anti-anxiety medications you are already established on. Refills include a brief check-in on how you are doing.

Skin Conditions

Topical steroid creams, prescription treatments for eczema and psoriasis, and long-term acne medications. Your doctor checks the current treatment is still working for you.

Allergies & Hay Fever

Prescription-strength antihistamines, steroid nasal sprays, and allergy eye drops. Same-day refills for the start of pollen season or flare-ups.

General Health

Oral contraceptives, acid reflux medications, stomach acid blockers, and other routine daily medications where your treatment plan is stable.

Your Refill in Four Steps, Same Day

Faster than a trip to your GP. Most patients are booked, consulted, and have their prescription at the pharmacy inside an hour.

Why Our Refills Are Safe and Clinically Sound

A prescription refill is a clinical decision, not a form to fill. Four things we do to keep you safe.

Full Medication Review, Not Just a Renewal

Every refill consultation includes a proper review: are you tolerating the medicine, any new symptoms, any interactions with other medications you started since the last review. If something has changed, we adjust or refer. Refills should keep you well, not just keep the script coming.

Prescriptions That Actually Work at the Pharmacy

Your prescription is issued by an Irish-registered doctor and sent directly to your chosen pharmacy through the standard secure system used across Ireland. That means it arrives fast, it is accepted at any pharmacy, and you are not stuck at the counter.

Honest About What We Can't Refill

Some medications need in-person assessment: controlled drugs, strong opioids, new dose changes, or treatments that need lab monitoring. We tell you straight which ones we cannot refill online and help you find the right path, rather than wasting your consultation fee.

Ongoing, Not One-Off

For long-term medications, we schedule your refills so they align with your supply and your next review. If your condition changes, needs a dose adjustment, or you develop side effects, your doctor arranges follow-up the same week, not the next available slot three weeks away.

Why Patients Pick Us for Refills

The clinical approach is the how. Here's the why. Four reasons Irish patients book their refills with us.

IMC-Registered Only

Every doctor is Irish Medical Council-verified not overseas.

Same-Day, 7 Days a Week

Evenings and weekends. No three-week waits for a routine slot.

No Waiting Room Exposure

Stay home, avoid spreading the illness, and skip sitting next to other sick patients.

GDPR-Secure & Private

Encrypted end-to-end. Sensitive discussions stay confidential.

Prescription Refill Questions, Answered

Straight answers on privacy, speed, pharmacy acceptance, and what we can or can't refill online.

01
Are online sick certificates legally valid in Ireland?
Yes. All consultations take place on encrypted, GDPR-compliant platforms. Your medical history, current medications, and consultation details stay private between you and your doctor. Nothing is shared with your employer or anyone else.
02
How quickly can I receive my prescription?
Most patients receive their e-prescription within minutes of the consultation ending. Your doctor sends it directly to your chosen pharmacy, so it is usually ready to collect within 30 to 60 minutes at most pharmacies. For fridge items or special-order medications, your pharmacy may take a little longer to prepare.
03
Are the prescriptions accepted by pharmacies?
Yes. Our prescriptions are issued by IMC-registered Irish doctors and sent directly to your chosen pharmacy through the standard secure system used across Ireland. At booking, you tell us your preferred pharmacy and your prescription is waiting there after the consultation. You can change pharmacy between refills if you move or travel within Ireland.
04
Which medications can you refill online?
We can refill most routine medications where you are stable on the current dose. Common refills include blood pressure medication, cholesterol medication, asthma inhalers, antidepressants and anti-anxiety medication (non-controlled), oral contraceptives, thyroid medication, acid reflux medication, allergy medication, and topical skin treatments. Your doctor reviews each request before issuing.
05
Can I use this service for controlled medications?
No. We do not provide online refills for controlled medications such as strong opioids, ADHD stimulants, or similar restricted drugs. These require an in-person assessment with your regular GP or specialist. If you are unsure whether your medication falls into this category, mention it at booking and we will let you know before charging.
06
What if I need a new prescription for a different medication?
If the medication is new to you, book a standard Online GP Consultation instead of a refill. Refills are for medications you are already established on. A new prescription needs a full clinical assessment of your symptoms. Our Online GP service covers new prescriptions for most non-controlled medications.
07
Can I get a refill for my child's medication?
Yes. For children aged 1 and older, a parent or guardian books through our Paediatric Consultation service. The doctor reviews the child's current medication, dose, and how they are doing before issuing the refill. We cannot refill a medication the child is starting for the first time, that needs a new prescription consultation.
08
What if my dose needs to change or I am having side effects?
Tell the doctor during your consultation. Dose changes and side effects are reviewed as part of the consultation, not just the renewal. Depending on what is happening, your doctor may adjust the dose, switch the medication, arrange follow-up, or refer you for in-person review. Patient safety always comes before the refill.
